Decannulation Webinar: Evaluating and Treating the Upper Airway is a 3-hour advanced recorded webinar on determinants of decannulation. The decannulation course is packed with research providing detailed information on secretion management, laryngeal sensation, and swallowing to help to determine safety of decannulation and expanding role of the speech-language pathologist. Case study videos supplement the research to demonstrate patient readiness versus those who are not candidates for tracheostomy removal. The course provides information on flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing and treatments to speed up the decannulation process. The course will also provide a free multi-disciplinary decannulation sample protocol. This webinar is a guide to help decannulate patients quicker and safer. The course is for speech-language pathologists, physicians, nurses, respiratory care practitioners or any other clinician working with patients with tracheostomy. Available for ASHA CEUs.
